Mr Lex - Actress, video girl & model Are just some of the hats you wear! How did you did you get started in the entertainment biz?

Ms Brooke Bailey - I actually have been modeling my whole life. My mom always had me involved, just for fun. As an adult I got started when Ken Francis asked me to come into his studio for a test shoot. About a week after that I shot for the cover of Lowrider magazine and a spread in Smooth girl magazine. The rest is history!

Mr Lex -What were you doing before you made it big time?

Ms Brooke Bailey -I am a certified Notary Public and before the economy got so bad also did real estate.



Mr Lex - I hear ya but hopefully Obama will change all that in due time! What's the normal working day for you consist of?

Ms Brooke Bailey -A normal work day for me is getting into Hair and Make-up and either smiling or having my sexy face on for about 12 hrs...lol It really is hard work and a lot more detailed than that.

Mr Lex -I knew shoulda been a photographer getting paid to watch u look sexy for 12 hrs dayum.... I guess my disposible CVS camera wont get the job done huh... o well What are some of the benefits and / or downfalls for being as successful as you are?

Ms Brooke Bailey -There are lots of benefits, We get treated like celebrity in our own right. We do get to meet some of the most distinguished and successful single men. We can attend some of the best parties. But, sometimes I feel like there are more downfalls because at the end of the day. It's really hard to have a relationship. Lots of men say that they would do anything to be with one of us successful beautiful woman. But at the end of it all most of them aren't confident enough to handle all of the attention that we receive.

Mr Lex - Let me be the 1st today to tell you that I would do anything to be with one of you successful beautiful woman (except go on fear factor!!) Are you single? and can you cook? what's your favorite dish?? sorry am I rambling? ????

Ms Brooke Bailey -I am dating....That's touchy subject....lol.....I love to cook...It relaxes me and I love to see the look on the face of the recipient. Hmm. My favorite dish would have to be soul food.

Mr Lex -(stomach growling) you know the way to a mans heart lol What is the type of look and/or personality that you are attracted to?

Ms Brooke Bailey -I love men that are powerful and confident, fun and outgoing! I can go on and on and on. But, I can honestly say that I haven't dated any two men that are the same. Some of the same qualities, yes, But, that's about it. I love men that are cultured.


Mr Lex - Out of all your photo shoots who are some of the photographers and magazines and clothing designers that bring out the best in you?

Ms Brooke Bailey -I love Nick from slick force he's one of the best photographers that I've ever shot with. All of the magazines that I've shot with have been awesome (Blackmen's mag., King mag., Lowrider mag., Smooth mag.,etc.) I'm a name brand whore,...lol I love designer bags and shoes and my closet shows that. I love exotic's.




Mr Lex - What are some of your most memorable videos and or films/ TV shows that you have been in? (any good stories that happened off camera or on set)

Ms Brooke Bailey -I had so much fun filming Wild'N'Out!With Nick Cannon. I had a ball filming Ballers on BET with John Salley. Every music video that I've ever done was a different experience. But, everyone that I've ever worked with was great and every set that I was on. I always had a lot of fun. It's not always who you work with. It's you as a person as well. I've made the best out of every situation and work experience that I've had.

Mr Lex -I also heard your a scary movie fan? what was the last eye covering thriller you've seen?

Ms Brooke Bailey -Well on Halloween I watched all of the Halloween movies. Well I didn't watch them all because I had my hands over my eyes most of the time...lol But, I had a good time.

Mr Lex -The Halloween remake was one of my favs its just to bad I had something sticking in my eye and was squinting and rubbing my eyes a lot during the movie but for some strange reason it only happens when someones about to get killed and I never know why that happens???? What is the biggest misconception about you?

Ms Brooke Bailey -I've never heard anyone say anything negative about me. I'm really down to earth and I'm able to adjust to any situation or environment that I'm in.

Mr Lex - What are some of your goals for 2009?

Ms Brooke Bailey -My goals a re really simple. I want to continue to work in other parts of this entertainment world. I want to be successful in everything that I do.



Mr Lex -And I'm sure you will be just make sure you give us at the redlight sextion holla from time to time !!! Where can we see more of you?

Ms Brooke Bailey -Well, I'm working on a Television show that will be airing this year. Its airing on March 8th on E! Tv right after the Kardashian's the Hit show is called Candy Girls!!!!!

Mr Lex - what name do you go by?

I like to go by Photo-Rob. (Rob or Robert is cool too.)



Mr Lex - How long have you been a photographer?

Photo-Rob - I have been a photographer since 1983 when I bought my first camera and put it to use shooting family, friends and events while in the Marines.
In 2004 I took my love and passion for photography a step further and created Realistic Art Photography.



Mr Lex - What made you get started?

Photo-Rob - My interest in Art/Photography was present at a very young age. In Elementary School I use to draw characters and the room with all the furniture
I was sitting in at the time. Then in six grade my home room teacher was also a professional photographer. He started an after school and weekend
program teaching kids photography and how to capture the image and then develope it in the dark room. At that point I knew I liked photography.
But it wasn't until many years later in 1983 where I was able to buy my first camera to start capturing still life.



Mr Lex - What type of photos do you prefer to shoot?

Photo-Rob - I like the photographs that make a person smile when they look at the unfinished or just shot image. So that means I like doing
Portraits(family, models, editorial) and Event photography. I have not settled on doing any specific type of photography. I can shoot a night club party
on a Friday and then change modes and photograph a eight hour wedding on Saturday.



Mr Lex - what is the name of your company and where are you located?

Photo-Rob -The name of my company is Realistic Art Photography and we are located in Dumfries, Virginia. My studio is mobile so setup can be done at your
location or a mutual location.



Mr Lex - I meet you at the Blackmens mag event in Dc was there anything or anybody from that event that sticks out in your mind?

Photo-Rob -This was my second Blackmens Mag DC Swimsuit competition and I have to say that I had a great time capturing the moment.
I knew and or have worked with alot of the ladies in or at the event. This years event had alot of very sexy ladies all shapes and sizes.
I look forward to working with this years winner Shennekia and several of the other contestants on some of my up coming projects.

Mr Lex - Hello MS KANARY DIAMONDS how are you doing today?

KANARY DIAMONDS - Hey I'm great thanks, I truly can't complain.



Mr Lex - How long have you been making music and modeling?

KANARY DIAMONDS - I've been rapping seriously for about 5 1/2 years but I started modeling when I was a child.



Mr Lex - What keeps you motivated?

KANARY DIAMONDS - My family and my love for music.





Mr Lex - What is the Average working day for you consist of?

KANARY DIAMONDS - A LOT no day is the same, I have so much going on right now. Writing, recording, practicing, meetings, interviews, filming...A LOT! Lol



Mr Lex - Devin da dude said it best - "What a job this is" lol Who are some artists that you have you worked with?

KANARY DIAMONDS - I've worked with KRS-ONE, chingy, Mac 10, yoyo, Colby O'Donis, Glasses Malone and a lot of up and coming artist.




Mr Lex - Where are some places people may have heard your work?

KANARY DIAMONDS - On Mac 10's album "hustler hand book", Chingy's album "Hoodstar", I have also have music placed in the movies waist deep, code name the cleaner, and like mike 2. Also in the tv shows making the band 4, bad girls club, kimora lee show and many more....



Mr Lex - Now thats what you call a workaholic Wow .... but its been a ruff year for female MC's what is your take on the lack of main stream quality female MC's?

KANARY DIAMONDS - In a nut shell. Originality, backing, and unity are a few of the downfalls. We aren't "allowed" to be or self and when we are labels are scared to back it. So females fall in the same patterns as the ones before us. Then when one is on the rise the others hate.


Mr Lex - Yea ant that the truth I know about those haters gotta few of my own but more importantly who are your top 5 all time rappers dead or alive?

KANARY DIAMONDS - 2pac, jayz, nas, lauryn hill, and T.I


Mr Lex -Hummm i mite kick a few people out if that was my list but its still pretty solid lol What songs are in your i pod right now?

KANARY DIAMONDS - Well its a melting pot its one song I listen 2 everyday and that's "change go come" by sam cooke. Right now the songs I listen to a lot is amel larrieux "bravebird" album, jayz american ganster, smokie norful, lil wayne the carter 1, some alicia keys, T.I, celine dion, donny hathaway, kirk franklin, stevie wonder and Of course all mine lol.....I'm listening to a lot of old school cause I can't get with a lot of what people are calling music these days.



Mr Lex - I also heard your a video game head what are some of your fav games?

KANARY DIAMONDS - Yes that's a melting pot also I like all sims and grand theft autos, all 007s golden eye on 64 is still my fav game of all time I'm gonna go get the new quantum of solace when I get some free time, mario kart is one of my favs also. I still play sonic and hit man too lol


Mr Lex - lol Can you tell me more about Ksopt and how long have you been doing the show?

KANARY DIAMONDS - Well unfortunately due to my extremely busy schedule the show has been put on hiatus for now.




Mr Lex - OK Ms buzy body lets switch this up if you could be pampered and spoiled for a whole day how would you want to spend that down time and what would you do or have done to you?

KANARY DIAMONDS - Right now I can take a spa treatment, but I love spending time with my family on my down time it relaxes me. It takes me away from the stress of this business if only for awhile.




Mr Lex - I think im just the opposite im spending too much time with fam i need to start a biz and get away I swear if lil ray ray clogs up the toilet again ima go crazy!!! lol What are some of your goals for the new year?

KANARY DIAMONDS - I've never been the type to make new years resolutions I've always said why wait till then why not now? But by new years one of my goals is to have my new video to my song "mirror mirror" driven the Internet nutts and tv also!

Spotlight interview with (The Author of Desperately Devoted ) K.C.NiBlack

MR. Lex - Hello K.C.NiBlack how are you doing today?

K.C.NiBlack - I'm Fabulous!

MR. Lex - Can you please give us a brief introduction about who you are and how acquired such a love for writing ?

K.C. NiBlack - Sure, I'm a devoted mother of two awesome girls and absolutely love writing. I can remember writing what I called books as young as six or seven. I would fold up computer paper, staple it in three places on the seam and write my "books". My mother is an author, so I guess...it is just in me.

I'm an Army Brat so I've been a lot of places and seen a lot of things. I live with my daughters in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area...and yes, I am a Redskins fan...all the way.

MR. Lex - ( refuses comment about the deadskins lol) What do you use for inspiration when you dont feel like writing anymore?

K.C. NiBlack - I always feel like writing. It's crazy...my mind is always thinking about my characters and what mess I can put them in and pull them out of. When I take a break and watch a movie, or hear a song, listen to my girlfriends' drama or think about my own...I think "Ohhh...I need to write!"

MR. Lex - Can you tell me more about "Desperately Devoted"?

K.C. NiBlack -Aside from the fact that it's my first novel, Desperately Devoted is a mixture of the things that women as a whole have allowed themselves to be a part of...all poured into one woman. Desperately Devoted is about a woman who is so in love with the idea of being in love that she neglects to pick up on the red flags. She ends up so in love with this guy, she's desperate to be devoted, and loses herself in the process. Before she knows it, she's fighting for her life.

MR. Lex - I must admit It is a really good read with some familiar landmarks in the DC area. Was Frankie Leone or any other characters created from anyone you know or completely fictional?

K.C. NiBlack - There is a piece of me and those who I hold dear to me in Frankie, Reese, Tony, Thomas, and the other characters. A lot of it is embellished, some fictional...but the pain is forever real. The story is something that a lot of women and even some men can relate to. It's not a "chick" book at all...for the men out there. (smile)

MR. Lex - How long did it take you to create this story?

K.C. NiBlack - I started typing one day in March...by August I was done...by September it was published. I read it at least 10 times and then realized that it was never going to be perfect. I put it down finally and released it.

MR. Lex - Seems like your a true perfectionist but is it true you did everything yourself as far as copyrighting, and publishing?

K.C. NiBlack -That's true. I even created the cover. If I can find a way to do it myself...then why not? A very good friend guided me through the process because he had already been through it twice.

MR. Lex - Do you have any advice or knowledge you can share with any up and coming writers?

K.C. NiBlack - RESEARCH. RESEARCH. RESEARCH. Talk to different writers and learn as much as you can. Read. Read. And read some more. Don't ask others to read your work to just see what they think. You'd be surprised at the haters that are in your corner that you never knew about.

K.C. NiBlack - I'm always willing to share the knowledge. So hit me up if you have any questions.

MR. Lex - Do you have any other goals or projects your working on?

K.C. NiBlack - I have finished my 2nd novel...but decided to go back and take a different approach after I read through the first time. I have begun work on my 3rd novel which will probably come out before the 2nd.

Spotlight on - Photographer Neiko Roman

1) What name do you go by?
Neiko Roman. For my glamour work I use to go by Vizionz Photography. Now I just use my name for any photography work I do.

2) What is it that your best known for?
Neiko Roman - I’m mostly known for my glamour work. It’s what got my foot in the door as far as shooting goes.

3) How long have you been a photographer? and how did you get started?
Neiko Roman - I have been shooting professionally for 3 years. Before that, I assisted photographers for about 3 years on and off. As far as getting started, I dabbled with photography back in high school but I didn’t pursue it seriously until I went to college and decided I really didn’t like my original major so switched majors to photography and stuck with it since.

4) Where can people see more of your work?

5) Who are some of the models you've have worked with?
Neiko Roman - I worked with Lyric, Sundy Carter, Angel, Mileena Hayes, Milani, Maria Vaz, and a bunch of others.


6)Wow you mention some big names! What are a few of your favorite shots?
Neiko Roman - Actually the cover of TitaniumGirlz magazine with Sundy and Lyric are a couple of my favorites. The implied nude with Mileena Hayes laying on her back is another one I really like. I also have a close up image of a girl with with wet hair coming down her face. That’s one my favorites and it wasn’t planned. We were just chilling at the beach and decided to take some shots.



7) A almost nude Mileena Haynes is always a good thing! lol without giving any names have you ever had a bad photo shoot and if you did what happened?
Neiko Roman - As an assistant there were a few but as a photographer only one comes to mind. I had a cover shoot with 3 models from the same agency. We decided on one particular girl in the middle only because the other 2 girls photograph similar and we needed balance. One of the girls that wasn’t in the center wasn’t happy and asked why she wasn’t in the middle. We explained why and she still gave nasty attitude and kept messing up expressions as we shot. So I decided to take her out and we shot one of the other girls for cover instead. I don’t have patience for haters and bad attitudes so if I have the power to make a decision on who stays and goes then behave while on my set.

8) I second that that! Hi haters! To stay in the biz at your level you would have to be focused. What are some of your goals?
Neiko Roman - Short term goals are to do more celebrity work and high fashion. Also ad campaigns. Long term I would like to do a few coffee table books and get into directing music videos and maybe be a director of photography on some motion picture movies.

9) And if you ever need any Actors or Behind the scenes help holla at me! Watch me get my Denzel on!!!! What are some things that keep you motivated to keep doing what you do?
Neiko Roman - I am a student of the art. Now matter how long you do photography there is always more to learn. Plus I’m never satisfied and havn’t accomplished anything close to were I want to be.

10) What does your normal working day for you consist of?
Neiko Roman - If I don’t have a shoot scheduled then I go through my emails and messages and work on my marketing. I also do some retouching on the recent shoots I did. Negotiate for possible jobs. My normal day on non shootings days is about 10 hours and on shooting days it’s about 14 hours. (That includes me cleaning up the studio and putting away my equipment)

11) Is there any advice that you can give to up and coming models and photographers?
Neiko Roman - Learn the business side of it. I know it looks all glamorous and fun but it is a business and those that realize that earlier on have a better chance of surviving in this highly competitive field.


12) Do you have any other projects that your working on?
Neiko Roman - I am closely involved with TitaniumGirlz magazine. We have a lot of hot ideas That havn’t been done before. Be on the look out for the Rookie girl issue out in October and the Holiday issue featuring Esther Baxter, Gloria Velez and Brooke Bailey out at the end of November.
