The Dating Game - Tips for the single daters

I know that there are a lot of you out there who are single this Valentine’s Day, and are playing the dating game. I decided to lend a hand to those of you who need help, and warn those of you who don’t. Dating is not as simple as it was in the past. There are more and more losers, stalkers, and crazy people out there now…ha ha.

First off, you have to get the 1st impression correct. Ladies and gentleman NEWS FLASH…9 out of 10 times, your first impression of someone is correct. If you meet someone and within 5 minutes you think to yourself…this guy or girl is an ass, just go with your gut instinct, it’s probably not going to get better the more you get to know them.

Now ladies, if you pay attention on the 1st date, you can walk away knowing most everything that you need to know about a man. Here are some things to look for, and what they usually mean.

Here are some signs that he is just looking for some ass

  • a. He keeps glancing at your chest, or watches your butt when you walk away.
  • b. He asks you to repeat a question more than 1 time, you are not in a loud place, and he is not wearing a hearing aid
  • c. He tries to grab your waist or butt within the 1st five minutes.
  • d. He asks you to come to his or your place, but hasn’t asked your last name yet.
  • e. He comments on how you seem like a freak.

Here are some signs that he is too conceited.

  • a. He looks at himself more than once in the car windows that he walks past.
  • b. He talks about himself for more than 10 minutes straight
  • c. If you go out to eat, he takes the seat looking out toward the people, which forces you to take the seat facing the wall so you can only see him
  • d. He is constantly looking at other people instead of you.

Here are some signs that he is just plain trouble

  • a. He doesn’t want to tell you his last name.
  • b. He glares at other men who look at you.
  • c. He “mentions” the type of friends that you have
  • d. He asks you more than once if you live alone
  • e. He brings any kind of weapon on the date
  • f. He makes you walk the other way if he sees a cop
  • g. He walks away from you to have a discussion with his friends
  • h. He calls you more than twice, the day of the date
  • i. He asks you your address of your house or job
  • j. He has answered his phone more than twice, but none of the conversations are more than 2 minutes
  • k. He keeps scanning the room.
  • l. It is obvious to you that he is antsy or overly anxious
  • m. He leads you by grabbing your arm when you walk

Now to the men…Women are much harder to read, and they will purposely make themselves appear normal, even if they are not. But if you pay attention, you can figure out that something is off. Here are some signs that women give.

Signs that she is only interested in your money

  • a. She gives your outfit a full once over when you meet, from your shoes and up to your shirt
  • b. She orders something expensive from the menu, then only eats a few bites
  • c. She answers any question with, “well what do I get”
  • d. She mentions needing to go shopping
  • e. Her cell phone is cut off
  • f. She mentions money more than once
  • g. She keeps giggling… trust me, if you’re not Katt Williams, you are not that funny.
  • h. If she looks expensive…she probably is.
  • i. She doesn’t have a job, or works in fast food

Signs that she is crazy

  • a. She glares at the waitress that takes your order and other women in the vicinity
  • b. She crowds close and wraps around your arm in public
  • c. She asks you your address of your house or job
  • d. She continues to ask “who is that” when your phone rings
  • e. She stares at anyone you stop to talk to
  • f. She mentions “the future”
  • g. She introduces you to her kids, or parents, unless she is a minor
  • h. She complains about her ex’s, and you didn’t ask
  • i. She compares you to someone else that she dated

Again, these are just a few of the signs, but the basic idea is, just pay attention to the person that you are with, and maybe dating will be a little easier for you.

Another mistake you want to avoid, is to assume that the date is going well. I have gone out with a few men who got a little upset when they found out that I wasn’t interested. So if you are questioning whether or not the date is going good, here are a few signs that the person you are with just isn’t that interested in you.

  • a. They are paying more attention to the surroundings, instead of you.
  • b. They ask you a question, and then close their eyes while you answer
  • c. They answer their phone and have a conversation longer than 5 minutes, and you can tell it isn’t work
  • d. They flirt with someone else
  • e. They keep mentioning how early they have to get up
  • f. They end the date with I’ll see you later

To sum it all up, when you are dating, just be yourself. If you give a false impression of yourself, you can’t get mad when someone doesn’t like the real you. I always think of the skit that Sommore did on the queens of comedy tour, about people needing a side effect label. In my opinion, the world would be a better place if you knew what you were getting into before you signed on the dotted line…haha

Here are a couple of the worst date stories from me and my friends. I guess we all miss some signs sometimes…haha

  • Mine was a few years ago, I was set up on a blind date by one of my friend’s boyfriend. It was right after I moved to Pittsburgh, and I didn’t know much about the city. This guy came to my dorm to pick me up, and we went out to dinner. He was very attractive, and very sweet. We ate dinner and were talking for a few minutes afterwards. He asked if I was ready to leave, so that we could go to a movie. I agreed so he asked for the check, and paid the waitress. He was kind of rushing and I wasn’t sure why, but hey he was sexy so who am I to complain right. I had to use the restroom, but for some reason he asked me to wait a few minutes, which was odd as well. Right at 10pm, his phone rang. Now I am a courteous person, so I tried to walk away to give him some privacy, but he grabbed my hand and pulled me close. He said that it was his roommate, who locked himself out, and asked if we could drive there real fast and let him in. Now, it was early so I didn’t mind. We get in his car and start to drive to his house. After about 30 minutes of driving on the freeway in the middle of no where, he looks over and asks “so are you sure your ok with this?” Now mind you, I am 17 at the time and he is 24, and I had no clue what he meant, so I said sure. He smiled at me and pulled down a dark street to the front of a house. He leaned over and tried to kiss me and grab on me. I was like “what the hell are you doing, don’t we gotta let your roommate in” He said “um yea of course, but that can wait, I want to get to know you better, and leans over to start again. Now, at this point I am a little mad, so I pull away and say” so ask me something then, your not gonna learn nothing new in my pants.” He gets pissed, calls me a tease and gets out of the car. He comes around to my side, pulls me out of the car, and says walk home bitch and pulls away. He left me on the street in a random town off the freeway at night alone. I ended up calling a cab, which was horrible because I had to walk around for a half hour until I found a random bar, to ask where the hell I was at. On the plus side, the cab driver was extremely nice. He asked what happened, and listened to the whole thing. Then he apologized on behalf of men, and drove me home without charging me a penny. It was a little light at the end of the worst date I have ever had…

L from Texas writes:

  • When I was in high school I liked this guy a lot and I thought he liked me too. We would talk after classes and stuff. I guess one day he got the guts to ask me out on a date. So I took one of my girl friends for girl support and he did the same thing. Well, we went to the movies had a good to time and flirted. When we went to eat afterwards, my girl-friend saw her man dining with another chick lol..Yes, there was trouble she marched over to where they were sitting at. Started bitching to her man why he hardly took her out and never did stuff for her. For some reason my date was nervous I didn’t really pay attention why because I was all into the drama stuff. Well. My girl was screaming going nuts wanting to hit the chic and her man. My girls man told her he doesn’t want to be with her, and my friend got mad.I was so embarrassed by now because people were just looking at us while I tried to calm her down. Out of nowhere she goes to him (her man). I fucked this muthafucker right here, and pointed to MY DATE!!!!! I almost choked, my date looked like he was about to pee, or cry. I was so surprised like my girls man was. I finally understood why he was so nervous. She said to her man and "He makes me scream...something your little dick never did". I was mortified. Here I was dating this hot guy I liked not knowing that they had a story behind. My date tried to give me all the excuses in the world. Needless to say, I did not want to go out with him afterwards.

R from California Writes

  • I once had a guy come up to me when I was on a date with another guy and he tried to fight him in the restaurant for my time. It was ridiculous. Needless to say, I went home alone that night. I also had a guy ask me every 5 min how he looked and if I thought he was pretty.

D from Pittsburgh Writes

  • I was on a date with this chic, and we decided to go out to a restaurant and have some drinks. So we get there and order drinks and dinner. We’re eating and apparently her ex walked in with her now boyfriend. She pointed him out to me and started telling me all about what a jerk he was and how she can’t stand him anymore. While she’s complaining the whole time, she is sucking down drink after drink. After about the 3rd drink she is obviously drunk, and very upset. I decided to take her home. As we are walking out, she starts to cry and saying she wants to go home. So, we get in my car and I drive her toward her house, and she is still complaining about him. All the sudden she rolls down the window and throws up all over the side of my car. Then she starts crying again. I finally get to her house and she looks over at me and says ”I’m so sorry about tonight, but don’t worry the next date will be better.” I just stared at her like she was nuts and mumbled uh huh. I had to stop at the car wash on the way home. I planned on never talking to her again, but she called me like 30 times the next day. I got tired of it so I had my sister answer the phone and say that she was my girlfriend and to stop calling her man. I’d hate to be the next guy she dated, I am sure he heard all about it…haha

So I hope this helps some of you single people. If you have any comments, dating horror stories, or any more signs to look out for, please feel free to share them.

Stupid Athletes

One of the things that I just don’t get, is how stupid people really are. Now, I am generally tolerant of a lot of things, but stupidity is not one of them. Lets take athletes for example. These are men who have it made. They make millions and millions of dollars for their athletic abilities. They don’t even really have to play very long. For these millions and millions of dollars, all they have to do is play their game, stay out of trouble, and be a public figure for a few years. This sounds pretty simple right? It seems like the only real issue would be avoiding injury right? Apparently it’s not. So here is my list of the top 5 dumbest NFL players.

#5 Chris Henry

Now this guy could’ve had a promising career in the NFL. The problem was that he just couldn’t handle it. He was in basically nonstop trouble from before he was signed on. As a sophomore at WVU he was kicked out of a game for unsportsmanlike conduct and was suspended for the season finale against the
University of Pittsburgh. So why not give him a deal in the NFL right? In 2005 he was pulled over for speeding and was caught with drugs in is shoe, and driving without a license. In January 2006 Henry was arrested in Orlando, Florida for multiple gun charges including concealment and aggravated assault with a firearm. Then in May, he was questioned regarding a sex crime, and in June he got caught in a DUI. Then in October he was suspended by the NFL for two games for violating the league's personal conduct and substance abuse policies. 2007 wasn’t any better. In April Chris was suspended for the first eight games of the 2007 NFL season for violations of the NFL's personal conduct policy. In June and November he was arrested twice for assault. The first was for beating up a 16 year old boy, and the second for a valet attendant. Then in December, he was arrested again for violation of his probation. In 2008 he was arrested again for assault, and the Bengals waived him. Unfortunately, they must not have really learned a lesson, since they decided to resign him to a 2 year contract in August of 2008. I guess this story isn’t over, and I can’t wait to hear about all the new troubles he can get into.

# 4 Plaxico Burress

Now this guy is your run of the mill everyday Jackass, and I know this because of a personal run-in with him when he was still in Pittsburgh. This guy is a bit of a bitch as well, and has been mostly a headache in his career. I won’t even discuss the amount of trouble he got himself into with the Steelers, and even in college. Since he joined the giants, he has already been suspended and fined around 50 times since 2005, coincidently, that is also around the number of games he has played. Then in 2008 he refused to participate at camp because he didn’t feel he got paid enough. He did attend, but sat it out claiming that his ankle was injured. Then in Nov of 2008 he decided to go to a club, and tuck his unlicensed gun into his sweatpants. Real smart huh? It slid down his leg, and as he was fumbling with the gun, it went off and shot him in the thigh. He later turned himself into police to face the handgun charges. He was also suspended for the remainder of the season and faced more fines, plus the loss of his bonus and pay for the rest of the season. He is scheduled for court in March for the charges, but has not lost his career yet. However, if the Giant’s have half a brain, he won’t be returning next year. Even though he won the super bowl, he is way more trouble then he is worth.

#3 Adam Bernard “Pacman” Jones

Now in reality, this guy should be higher on the list, except he must have an angel on his side, because he can still play in the NFL. This guy has a nice long list of trouble that he has been in. He was arrested in 2005 for assault and vandalism. In August 2006, he was arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication, and got cited in October for misdemeanor assault for spitting in the face of a female student. The big story was the altercation and shooting in Vegas in 2007. He was charged with one count of felony coercion as well as one misdemeanor count of battery and one misdemeanor count of threat to life, and Jones pleaded no contest to one charge of conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. He was given a suspended prison sentence of one year, probation, and ordered to perform 200 hours of community service. In April he was suspended for the rest of the 2007 season. While on suspension he managed to stay in trouble. He was accused of hitting a woman at a strip club in Atlanta and then violated the league's personal conduct policy by being involved in an alcohol-related scuffle with one of his bodyguards at a private party in Dallas on Oct. 7. He finally returned for the Pittsburgh game but ended up hurt. He is scheduled to return for the next game against Baltimore. On the plus side, it must be nice for him to actually be out of the game and not be in jail. Honestly, I have no idea why this jerk is allowed to continue to be a figure that young kids can look up to.

#2 Michael Dwayne Vick

Now I really hate adding Mike to this list because I am a falcons fan, and I love Michael Vick, but damn if he didn’t pull some dumb shit. Now, Vick has been in trouble for a while. In 2004 he got into some trouble with the law, when 2 men were arrested for dealing drugs from Vick’s truck, then again for theft at Hartsfield International Airport. In 2005 he was sued for giving some female and STD. In 2006 he was fined 10,000$ for flipping off some people who booed at him. Then in 2007 he lost his damn mind. He started off with a water bottle with a hidden compartment, and I am sure that everyone knows the story of how Vick and three other men were charged by federal authorities with
felony charges of operating an unlawful six-year long interstate dog fighting venture known as "Bad Newz Kennels" at Vick's 15-acre property in Surry County, Virginia. Vick was accused of financing the operation, directly participating in dog fights and executions, and personally handling thousands of dollars in related gambling activities. Then while free on bail, he failed a drug test. On December 10, Vick was sentenced to 23 months in federal prison. The fines became ridiculous, and on July 7, 2008, Vick sought Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Newport News after failing to "work out consensual resolutions with each of his creditors," according to court papers. The initial filing, which was incomplete, listed assets of less than $50 million and debt of $10 million to $50 million.

#1 Orenthel James “O.J.” Simpson

Now I know that ya’ll know the story of O.J. Simpson. In 1989, Simpson plead
no contest to a domestic violence charge and was separated from Nicole Brown, to whom he was paying child support. On June 12, 1994 Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman were found dead outside Brown's condominium. Simpson was charged with their murders. Unfortunately, "the trial of the century," ended on October 3, 1995 in a jury verdict of not guilty for the two murders. A lot of people were outraged by the verdict. Now on the plus side, on February 5, 1997 a civil jury unanimously found Simpson liable for the wrongful death of and battery against Goldman, and Brown, and he was ordered to pay $33,500,000 in damages.
Now you would think that after all this he would have learned a lesson right….WRONG. In September 2007, a group of men led by Simpson entered a room at the
Palace Station hotel-casino and took sports memorabilia at gunpoint. Simpson admitted to taking the items, which he said had been stolen from him, but denied breaking into the hotel room; he also denied that he or anyone else carried a gun. He was released after questioning, but arrested 2 days later. This time, court didn’t go so well. On October 3rd, he was found guilty, and on December 5, Simpson was sentenced to a total of 33 years in prison with the possibility of parole in about 9 years. I say good riddance to the idiot, and hopefully we won’t have to hear any more about him.

So to all the athletes out there, take some time to really look at how good you got it compared to the rest of us. Get a grip on reality, realize that you are not above the law, and stop doing stupid shit. That's a really great way to lose all you have worked for. Let me know who would have made your top lists.

Fake Ass Rappers Today

Now I can give respect where respect is due in the rap industry, but I cannot listen to the music of fake people. Does anyone even take the time anymore to pay attention to the people whose music we spend our hard earned money on? I happen to prefer club music, or something I can dance to, but I am open to most anything. I love my down south country boys, and I can respect a rapper with something real to say. I even have respect to the rappers that make millions of dollars rapping about nothing. Some of them don’t even use real words, but they got a good beat, and some catchy hooks. The one thing that I can’t stand is people who are fake, so I want to take a moment to talk about 5 of the fakest rappers out there. Now these guys are just sad.

Rapper #5 Barry Adrian Reese AKA Cassidy
This guy wants to be known as this hardcore gangsta rap artist, yet the 1st track he really put out to the masses was “Hotel” with R Kelly. He said in an interview with WK3 “I feel that the industry right now is a little dried out. We need some real, true lyricists that's true to the game and taking it seriously, that know where hip-hop came from and know where it needs to go and where they're trying to take it. [Hip-hop needs] Cats that's focused more on their lyrics, and coming up with real songs and doing original concepts, and not just trying to follow the same patterns just to get a little check.” As if he doesn’t make songs just to get money. Again lets see what songs he got here. Hotel with R Kelly, I’m a Hustla with Jay Z, Drink N My 2 Step with Neyo. And lets not forget the tracks that he is on that aren’t his like How do I breathe Mario remix, Girlfriend with Bow wow and Omarion. I see it as don’t talk shit about people tryin to get their paper however necessary, when you do the same shit. He's got a lot to say about being commercial, and since he got signed, that’s all he is. And people call this guy the best rapper alive. He said himself he'll always prefer battling for the streets rather than record sales.” Personally, I agree, he should stay on the streets, because he ain’t worth his 15 minutes of fame. Unfortunately, from this next video, I don’t think he is welcome there either…haha

The funniest shit is how scared he was…haha

Rapper #4 Marshall Bruce Mathers III AKA Eminem
Now this fool just makes me laugh, because for the life of me, I can’t figure out why the hell people like him. People take him so serious and have had the audacity to call him a great lyricist and a great rapper. I am sorry, but my mind cannot believe that people think a great lyricist raps lines like “two trailer park girls go round the outside,” “I spit when I talk, I'll fuck anything that walks,” and “But when it's all said and done I'll be 40. Before I know it with a 40 on the porch telling stories, with a bottle of jack,Two grandkids in my lap, Babysitting for Hailie while Hailie's out getting smashed.” What is so lyrically great about him. He also talks about being a good father, to his daughter, and how he wants to be a great role model. Meanwhile, have you heard him talk about her mother? The things this idiot says about her blows my mind. I don’t know whether to be more confused about him or Kim. In the midst of all these songs, they keep getting married and breaking up. Personally I think this entire family is screwed up. Poor Hailie doesn’t have the slimmest chance to be any kind of normal. The cherry on top for me is how in his new book he says that rap music is turning to crap. Has this guy ever listened to his own music? Slim shitty sounds better to me.

I don’t even like ICP, but this is the funniest shit I ever heard about eminem…

Rapper #3 Nasir Jones AKA Nas
Now this guy is just mind boggling to me. All he ever talks about are the big important messages in his music, and whatever statement he is currently trying to make. I absolutely loved all the hype that he put into the “controversial name” of his last album. He even went to the Grammy’s where his entire crew had on tee shirts to promote it. Then he goes and releases it untitled. WTF is that about. The reason he gives is that people are scared of it. And this is not something that is recent. He has been contradicting himself for a long ass time. He talks about why there shouldn’t be beefs, and how people should be together and never divided. In an interview with MTV Nas states “I don't have to live off of [beefs] like other artists. I didn't have to make a career off of that. My career is based off a solid foundation. It's not based off of calling out names like a 50 or whatever.” Meanwhile he has talked shit about Jay Z, Nelly, Nore, Cam’ron, Jesse Jackson, Jim Jones, 50 cent, Oprah, Ja rule, Young Jeezy, Tupac, Stevie Wonder, and many more. Another thing that is annoying, is the fact that he can’t make up his mind, he beefs, then they are best friends. Look at Jesse and Oprah, he talks shit, and then in the interview with Angie Mar, he says he loves them and they are his idols. He does the same with Young Jeezy, and JayZ. I mean come on, make up your mind already. This guy goes from one extreme to the other daily. Who has the time to keep up with his bullshit, And quite frankly, he not as great a lyricist as he thinks he is.

The funniest shit I heard was Jay Z was

Rapper #2 Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, aka Lil Wayne.
Honestly, I can’t figure this guy out at all, or why people love him. He’s 5’6, he has the most annoying voice ever, and he’s ugly as can be. He tries to come off so hard but admits that he ain’t never really been in the streets. To top it all off, this guy thinks of himself as a role model. He stated in an interview "I don’t make records or say anything about people. I don’t beef with people. Everybody knows that. ... My words are more important than you. I got kids listening to me. I got grown folk listening to me. I got intelligent people listening to me. I want the words I say to come across [as] important. I want you to relate those words to me, not some guy or some girl.” Then he makes songs like “Always Strapped,” “Fireman,” and the ever so greatly written “pussy, money, weed.” He also stated in an interview with DJ Green Goblin “We don’t play, I will murder you, your family, your child, a newborn, I don’t give a fuck.” And the icing on the cake is that he’s stupid. According to the news he was arrested in 05, 06, 07, and 08, each time for having drugs. You would think that by now he would have figured out how to give it to someone else who’s going in and coming out of the concert. But hey now, he’s a great role model, I really think that’s the kind of guy I’d want my kids to be like…yea right.

Juelz, you’re way better without this fool.I Gotta go wit Jay Z’s lines on this one…

Rapper #1, and probably the worst, has gotta be Curtis James Jackson III AKA 50 cent.
This 230 lb, over 6 foot tall guy wants the whole world to know how hard he is, yet, he got beat by Ja Rule…Yea, as in 5’6 Ja Rule. That means that he is as big as me, well, without shoes on anyway. Then, after he gets beat, he goes out and gets an order of protection against him…yea real hard. Even I’m not that big of a bitch.

Another example is his contradictions in his interview with Spin which you can read here… http://www.spin.com/articles/spin-interview-50-cent-bigger-longer-and-uncut?page=0%2C0Now everyone knows that 50 raps about violence, killing, chics and money. That is all he really talks about, but then admits that he’s a fraud on the interview. He starts off the interview ok, but when it gets serious his answers seem to change. Early on he is asked about the violence he portrays in his lyrics and he responds with “That's what I hear when I think of where I grew up. And it also comes from the experience of me being shot. It's weird -- people associate me with gun violence, when I was the one who got shot. I haven't ever shot anybody.” A little later, he also adds “there's a perception that I'm darker than I am. That's why I enjoy film projects, because they allow me to show emotions that I don't normally show through my music.” Then, they ask about people who make records that are artistic, but don’t sell a lot. He responds with “I've been around rappers, what was the freestyle guy, Supernatural? He was incredible, he could rap about anything, about Mars and cars, whatever, and Craig G was like that. But they didn't have a specific thing that they were basing their music on that people could embrace. My music is based on my actual life. You might be a rapper that could beat me at something, but you can't beat me at being me, and this is what the world's embraced at this point,” So which one is it? Come on now, and people actually give this guy some kind of credit. Meanwhile, the guys in his so called “crew” don’t even respect him. Personally, I think the game should’ve just bitch slapped him in front of the whole world…now I would happily pay my hard earned money to see that. He thinks he’s so tough, haha Puleaze… 50 Cent…get a clue and just keep rappin about the candy shop, cause you ain’t convincing nobodyI gotta go with Jadakiss on this one...

So to sum it up, rappers everywhere, be who you are. Whether your real like Jadakiss, Common, and Kanye, your makin hit after hit like Jay Z, your actin a fool like Ludacris, makin the hottest club jams like Lil’ John, hyping the crowd like T.I., or makin millions of dollars not even using real words like Nelly, just be 100% true to yourself. Please feel free to leave some comments, whether you agree or not. Let’s hear your opinion.

Ms. Blond-D

Hey everyone, I am Ms Blond D. I live in Pittsburgh, but I am a country girl at heart and always will be. I like music, movies, clubs, and people who aren’t dumb…haha. I like all types of music, but mostly I listen to rap, hip hop, and R&B. I am very opinionated, which mostly gets me into trouble. I am not afraid to speak my mind, and I think all people should be the same. Most men like it, because they don’t have to guess what I am thinking, I have no problem telling them. The people who don’t generally like it, are the ones that I don’t have good opinions about. But hey, you can’t please everyone can you? My thoughts are, if you don’t want me to think you’re a useless jackass, then stop acting like one. Well anyways, That’s a little about me, and I look forward to sharing my opinions and views with all of the followers. If you want to know anything about me, feel free to ask. I can’t promise I’ll answer you, but you can try…haha. And please feel free to share your opinions of what I say, whether you hate it or love it, I can’t wait to hear your opinions too. Thanks
